The abstract cellular form, “He Begins” is part of the “Created” series, which explores the complementary nature of male and female.

When I made these pieces, I was thinking about the moment that a new life comes in to being. What will that person become? How much of that is determined at the very moment of conception and as cells begin to multiply?
