“Inclusion” is a geologically inspired piece. It was talking to me on a personal level too as I made it. I was thinking about how being surrounded by people doesn’t necessarily equate to being included. Sometimes we can feel a bit like the nugget of rock in amongst the layers, an inclusion, but not included. In community, we need to find the inclusions among us....and include them!!

Felted New Zealand Merino wool and silk fibres.  "Inclusion" has been mounted on an acid free mat and box framed in a natural timber frame with a white spacer and UV protective glass.
