I have been experimenting with paint pigments flowed in water on various substrates. The behaviour of the paint as it is subjected to surface tension and capillatiry fascinates me and as I seek to harness these forces, my mind inevitably travels to the geological implications. What does it mean for the waters that we are tasked with caring for, when we introduce contaminants into their systems? Then I consider the implications for my inner world. What do I allow to contaminate body and soul and how far does the flow reach? We are all interconnected, woven together.
