78 x 53cm, Acrylic paint on mineral paper

This work is part of an exploration of different substrates for painting and working with fluid paint mediums. Using the flow of pigment in fluid on a two-dimensional surface to illustrate the transfer of contaminants via ground water, which can travel to great depths within the bodies of rock that make up the earth beneath our feet. While the flow of one colour into another where different “bodies” of water meet creates beautiful forms on the paper, it also serves to illustrate just how far and deep contaminants can be carried, from our activities on the surface of the earth.

Artwork will be rolled in acid-free tissue, and shipped in a sturdy shipping tube.

Also available framed for customers based in New Zealand. Contact me for a shipping quote for framed work.
